Provitamin D (7-Dehydrocholesterol)
This active ingredient is the most important molecule in the synthesis of vitamin D. 7-Dehydrocholesterol is naturally present in the stratum spinosum and stratum basale of the epidermis as a precursor of Vitamin D. Under the influence of sunlight 7-dehydrocholesterol in the epidermis is converted to vitamin D3.
Phospholipids
Major building components in the structure of cell membranes. These molecules mimic the lipid structure of the upper layer of the skin (stratum corneum) and provide moisturising, repairing and protective properties.
Sterol Complex
